Washington Medical Assistance Programs

Below is an overview of the state funded programs that your child might be eligible for and how to apply for them. This is provided for information purposes only. This is not legal or medical advice. 

 

Apple Health/Medicaid Insurance

 

Medicaid/Apple Health is a state funded insurance program for low income families. You can have both Private/Employer Funded Insurance and Medicaid/Apple Health at the same time. 

 

Find out if you qualify for Apple Health/Medicaid:

  • You can visit Washington Connection to see if you qualify without applying for a variety of services (including Apple Health/Medicaid) here.  

  • You can also find Medicaid Children’s Insurance financial/program requirements here.

Premium Payment Program:

 

The Premium Payment Program is a state funded program that helps Medicaid/Apple Health clients keep/use their private insurance.

 

 

  • If you are found eligible for Apple Health/Medicaid and you have private insurance you can apply for the Premium Payment Program to help with the out of pocket expenses here.

 

 

Developmental Disabilities Administration(DDA) 

 

DDA is a state funded program for individuals with disabilities that is based primarily on the severity of the person’s disability.

  •  I recommend taking the application to the Arc of Snohomish for assistance filling it out. The Arc excels with DDA applications (and they have many other excellent programs/resources).
